We left Villafranca in 40 degree sunshine. What a day! Looking back down the valley at rhe town was spectacular.
Despite blisters for me and James, and sore muscles from the trek down from Cruz de Ferro two days ago, we loved today. We walked through the Valcarce River valley to this quaint old town of Ambesmestas.
Thanks to the recommendation of Dawn and Craig we have a great room for 45 euros. Now to stretch and massage our legs into readiness for tomorrow's climb. 8.5 miles to O'Cebreiro.
