When it became clear in 2020 that travel would not be a good option for a long time, we decided to use our daily walks in our neighborhood as a virtual Camino. Starting that June, each day when we walked in our neighborhood enjoying Florida's nature and beauty, we reviewed our walk along a similar Camino distance, starting in Le Puy. Looking back and remembering our earlier trips has provided joy and laughter, as well as virtual shivers, aches, and pains. On Valentine's Day 2021 we reached Santiago . . . virtually. That was sweet. Below is our Virtual Camino.
We cannot stop walking. During the coronavirus pandemic, beginning in June, we are taking our daily walk and pretending we are on the Camino, starting in Le Puy. We are posting photos and narrative of this virtual adventure.
Our February walks and their virtual parallels start here.
Days 250 to 265. February 1 to 14, 43 miles (69 km) takes us to Santiago de Compostela, our destination and the end of our Virtual Camino.
