Below are our November walks and their virtual parallels.
Days 153 to 159. November 1 to 7, 31 miles (47 km) takes us from Cirueña through Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Belorado, Villafranca de Montes de Oca, to San Juan de Ortega.
Days 160 to 166. November 8 to 14, 23 miles (35 km) brings us from San Juan de Ortega through Agés and Atapuerca, to Burgos.
Days 167 to 183. November 15 to 30, 63.5 miles (96km) brings us from Burgos across the Meseta to Calzadilla de la Cueza. We walked this section of the trail in 2011. Our blog entries of May 28 through June 2 tell the story of

The Whole Story-Pamplona to Leon
- serendipitously arriving in Burgos on El Noche Blanco,
- our marvelous off-trail stay at El Molino which is featured in The Way,
- walking through wildflowers to San Anton where medieval pilgrims were cured of St. Anthony's Fire,
- staying in Castrojeriz where the church is Our Lady of the Apple,
- topping the hill and walking next to the wind-swept canal into Fromista with its magnificent Roman chapel,
- staying in Carrion which is famous for its singing nuns at the albergue, and
- meeting up in Calzadilla with Spanish brothers we had first met in El Molino who were walking together after being reunited from a decades-long separation.
