If you'd like a copy signed for yourself or someone you know who has walked the Camino or is planning to walk it, email us. We will get the copy in the mail to you and you can send us a check. We feel like we are getting to know lots of new readers this way. The email address is [email protected].
The print books arrived less than two weeks ago. The Kindle version has been available for only about one week. Although the print book is available on our Lighthall Books website, and both are on Amazon, we are particularly enjoying having many readers email us for signed copies.

Following months of intensive efforts--rewriting, reformatting, proofreading, and adjustments here and there, Second Wind went off to the printer in late July. Our supply of the printed version arrived on Friday. They look great, and we're really pleased with them. We're readying the Kindle edition today, and we're hoping both versions will be available for sale by tomorrow. If you're interested in the hard-copy version, you can place your order today at www.lighthallbooks.com, and we'll have your book in the mail to you tomorrow. Update - I just began the process of getting the books uploaded to Amazon. Apparently it could take up to a week to get the products set up on Amazon's site. In the meantime, hard copies are available from us as indicated above.
Where have we been? Many blog posts in June, and none in July -- what happened?
The answer is Second Wind. Almost every waking moment, it seems, we have devoted to getting our book in shape. When we weren't actually working on it, we were arranging our other activities so we'd have time to work on it. Writing, rewriting, editing, responding to comments, proofreading, proofreading, and more proofreading. Today it went off to the printer, and we expect the print version to be ready within the month. We'll be working on the e-book editions in the meantime, and we expect the process to be a new and not-too-difficult learning experience. With luck all the versions will be available at about the same time. In the meantime we are launching our new Lighthall Books website and store. The entire book is now available free of charge this website. We'll begin cycling off the the earlier chapters on Friday. As with our other books, samples will be available after that. What kind of scenery have we been viewing in the past months? Check out a sample below--we've mainly been looking at computer screens. I went to lunch with three Spanish speaking friends today at Civilization, here in Gainesville. Usually four or five of us gather at one of our homes to chat in Spanish every few weeks. But it is a spectacular sunny Spring day today and we decided to practice our Spanish over lunch at this locally owned and operated spot. We even grabbed an outdoor table. I mostly practiced my receptive skills...and did pretty well, thank you very much. My friends are kind and complimented my expressive efforts, which was encouraging. And I learned several new words...always important. I think I'll study some Speed Spanish now. Only 18 days until immersion.
