We leave for the Camino . . . our 7th annual trek . . . on May 12. This year we will begin our walk in Moissac, France. In 2008, that is where we ended the first leg of our journey. We have a reservation at the same guest house ("chambre d'hote" in French). I talked to the owner on email. He said that in 2008, when they were just getting started (as you can see in the photo) they survived on love and strong coffee. We are eager to see how the place looks today. The teething baby from 2008 is now an 8-year old. We have a plan We plan to walk from Moissac to St Jean Pied de Port, staying in hostels (gites) and chambres d'hotes, as the mood and availability strike us. Then we plan to cross the Pyrenees, staying the first night at the iconic Orisson gite. The elevation map is a bit daunting! The universe had a surprise for us We will walk as far as time allows in Spain and then hop over to Dublin to meet Pam and James for a week in Doolin. Unbeknownst to us until we had booked a B&B there, a Folk Festival will be happening. Yikes. Is this too much excitement after a Camino? Counting the days, regardless!
